The questions

In light of my previous post here are some questions that interest me:

How does narrative structure aid the learning process?

Is there any difference in life satisfaction at the start of junior high school between those who have had a curriculum devoid of recess during elementary school years and those who have recess?

Can stories be integrated into a curriculum for increased retention of knowledge?

Can stories aid transfer of learning from one realm to another?

Comments

I heard a story a few days ago on NPR (I think) about making calculus more engaging by incorporating stories--as in, the stories of people who devised the calculus concepts and what problems they were faced with that made them seek out those concepts, as well as stories with modern applications, showing how modern engineers or physicists might come across a problem that could be solved using such and such given concept that the students are learning.
