I've worked with her team on the Gradebook, Brainhoney and some faculty pages for the Testing Center. Sorry, I can't give you links since all of these applications are for faculty use and require special invitation due to their pilot status.

I can tell you some of the things she has done. She is very thorough in talking to faculty (in this case, the future users) to really figure out how they think and how things should be done. After she talks to them, she comes up with a design and we implemented. Once implemented, she goes back again and does more usability to make sure everyone can actually use the thing. She doesn't care about functionality. She assumes the functionality will be there, but really focuses on usability: can a user find the feature he/she needs and was it intuitive for them to use it, etc. When she comes with corrections, she will always site her usability testing and say it needs to be changed because the users were confused, or hit the wrong button accidently, etcl.
